Atteinte d’une Amyotrophie Spinale infantile de type 2, je me déplace en fauteuil roulant électrique et porte un corset qui me permet de me tenir en position assise. Cette maladie génétique invalidante affecte la totalité de mes membres, mais heureusement en aucun cas le mental, ni la parole. Passionnée par le chant et l’écriture depuis mon plus jeune âge, j’ai toujours eu l’envie de témoigner au travers de ce moyen-là que la maladie n’est pas une fatalité et que, ‘Quand on veut, on peut’. La preuve, j’avais raison. Ecrire, alors que nous ne pouvons tenir un stylo ? Composer, alors que nous ne pouvons manipuler un ordinateur ? Et oui! Grâce aux moyens auxiliaires, « l’impossible » devient, non pas seulement possible, mais facile. En 2005, j’ai publié un maxi single intitulé « Quand on veut, on peut », en faveur du Téléthon suisse. En 2007, j’ai eu l’honneur d’avoir été choisie parmi les marraines de la Fondation Little Dreams créée par Phil et Orianne Collins. Cette Fondation à pour but de permettre à de jeunes talents handicapés ou non de se réaliser à travers leur passion dans les domaines de l’art et du sport. J’ai alors écrit un texte intitulé « No difference » qui a été mis en musique et ai interprété ce nouveau morceau devenu l’hymne de la Fondation. Aujourd’hui, plus motivée que jamais à faire tomber les barrières entre personnes « handicapées » et « valides », j’écris mon propre album.

Au quotidien, j’utilise l »Integra Mouse’. Cet appareil me permet d’employer de manière complètement autonome mon ordinateur. Il s’agit d’un appareil simple qu’il suffit de brancher dans un port USB de l’ordinateur. L »Integra Mouse’ fait office de souris. Je le tiens avec le bout des lèvres et, avec très peu de pression, je déplace le curseur de façon rapide et précise. Pour cliquer, j’emploie un switch. Il s’agit d’un petit interrupteur que je manipule avec le pouce. Si je l’avais souhaité, j’aurais également eu la possibilité de cliquer en soufflant ou en aspirant directement dans l’Integra Mouse. A l’écran de mon ordinateur figure un clavier virtuel. Il me suffit de pointer mon curseur sur la touche souhaitée et de cliquer. Autrement, j’utilise également le Kéo. Il s’agit d’un appareil de contrôle de l’environnement; il me permet d’employer ma télévision, mes deux lecteurs DVD, ma lumière, mon téléphone fixe et mon portable. Avec un système de balayage de l’écran, il me suffit de cliquer sur l’option désirée avec l’aide d’un switch. Cet appareil fonctionne avec le système Bluetooth.

La FST me permet de réaliser mes rêves en un clic ou du bout des lèvres.
