ICH LEBE IM JETZT MIT DEM WAS ICH HABE, NICHT MIT DEM WAS ICH HABEN MÖCHTE
Mein Name ist Martin Zutter, geboren 1954 und wohne im Berner Oberland. Seit 2007 lebe ich mit der Diagnose ALS. Im Herbst 2008 musste ich mein Berufsleben aufgeben und mich auf die kommenden und schweren Veränderungen vorbereiten.
Als Unwissender war es schwer die richtigen Kontakte für Hilfsmittel und Allgemeine Unterstützung zu finden. Doch habe ich festgestellt, dass es Erfahrene ALS Begleiterinnen und Vereinigungen gibt, die mir mit Rat und Tat zur Seite standen. So kam ich im Zusammenhang mit dem Elektrorollstuhl, auch in Kontakt mit der FST.
Meine Aktuelle Situation: Ich lebe seit fünf Jahren im Elektrorollstuhl, bin Unselbständig und voll Pflegebedürftig, dabei profitiere ich von ständigen Anpassungen an meinem Rollstuhl und dem Umweltgerät infolge laufender Veränderung meines Krankheitsverlaufes.
Meine Hobbys waren Segeln, Angeln, Reisen und gut Essen. Heute sieht es etwas anders aus, so beschränken sich meine Aktivitäten aufs Malen am PC und neuerdings auch am Schreiben eines Buches mit dem Titel Rollileben, dank den FST Hilfsmittel.
Die aktuelle Unterstützung durch FST beinhaltet:
Kéo: Eine Umweltsteuerung, die ich täglich einsetze. Verschiedene Funktionen sind seither laufend ergänzt worden um die Umgebung zu Hause zu kontrollieren: zum Beispiel das Öffnen der Türen oder die Bedienung des Lifts, Ich kann natürlich auch Telefon, TV und Stereoanlage bedienen. Abends stelle mein Bett in die gewünschten Position, schalte den iPod ein, höre sanfte Musik und geniesse den meist ruhigen Schlaf. Ein Ausfall des Gerätes würde für mich den Verlust der restlichen Selbstständigkeit bedeuten.
PC: Tastatur mittels Key Vit und Skippy auf Bildschirm, Mausbefehle mittels Tasten und Joystick am Rollstuhl, zum Malen habe ich div. Programme gekauft. Zudem kann ich am PC wie auch am Fernseher gleich arbeiten.
Hilfsbereitschaft, Zuverlässigkeit und eine gute Betreuung der Stiftung FST machen mich ein grosses Stück selbstständiger.
Im Kleinen kann viel Kraft freigesetzt werden und die gesammelte Kraft,
hilft uns zu Leben.
FST ist ein Hilfreicher Teil eines ganzen Systems um mir das Leben zu erleichtern.
